John: We all stand atop towers of knowledge that were built by others. Hopefully we add to that body of knowledge and maybe interpret it in new and useful ways. I'd like you to concentrate on our treatment of women. Based on your published works you are uniquely qualified for this. You'll meet Barry, uh, Doctor Fambrough after you settle in. He's worked here for a couple of years and has dedicated himself to researching what causes our therapy to be less effective in women than in men. He has a research clinic that's separate from our treatment facility here. Barry recruits college students as study and control groups. Confidentially he seems to be getting nowhere and I thought you might bring a fresh perspective to this vexing problem.
Luxana: That sounds like a great first project for me, thanks. I'll give my 2 week notice at the hospital and please let me know if there is anything I can do to prepare, case studies and maybe even some of Doctor - Barry's research.
